DeKalb Tool Rental offers an extensive selection of rental equipment and tools in North-Central Illinois.
Items range in variety from handheld power tools, to small gas-powered equipment, to skidsteers and loaders.
The Assistant Brach Manager will work with the General Manager to implement business strategy, budgets, and goals.
They will be responsible for overseeing and directly participating in day-to-day business operations with special focus on customer service including answering phones, assisting customers determine the correct equipment needed for their project, writing rental orders on the computer, assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment, and making occasional deliveries.
Some level of mechanical skill and knowledge is required to successfully perform job duties.
This position will require working inside and outside of normal business hours including many weekends, with the possibility of responding to occasional after-hours emergencies.

Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Meet with General Manager on a daily basis to develop and review daily and weekly goals.
Be a team leader and prime example of company values for other team members--lead from the front! Oversee and actively participate in customer service tasks including answering customer phone calls, helping customers determine the proper tool or equipment for their project, quoting rental rates, writing rental contracts, and showing customers how to safely operate equipment.
Oversee and actively participate in equipment repair/maintenance and shop operations.
Occasionally respond to after-hours emergencies by phone and in-person.
Requirements:
Must have a valid US drivers license with a clean driving record Some experience towing trailers up to 14,000 lbs preferred Some extent of small engine knowledge/experience is preferred Must pass drug screen prior to employment and additional screens throughout employment Must be able to speak, understand, and write English clearly and fluently, Spanish skills are highly welcome Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs on a regular basis Position is subject to a criminal background check Job Type:
